FAQ's

In Iron Workers Local 512 we have several signatory contractors. They range in size from very large international companies to smaller Mom and Pop shops. Our business agents dispatch our members to work for these contractors as they need. Which means you won’t have to look for a job, the Business Agents will send you to one as calls come in from our contractors.

Expect some travel. You could work in the anywhere in our jurisdiction. It‘s ideal to keep our ironworkers close to where they live but if you are working for a contractor who has work farther away in the jurisdiction you will be required to go to those jobs also. We need to have our workforce present at these jobs to keep our contractors strong, and bidding work so we can continue to grow our membership.
